Black trim ?

Hey guys, my car is in the shop and they are shaving my wiper. I just got a call that the black trim on the outer edge of the window got a mark in it. He said a fingernail size smudge. Is there a way to replace the trim in the back window on the lower portion? "Section above the wiper" It sounds like it got melted while he was welding the hole left by the wiper. Any other ideas to make it look better? Suggestions? Thanks!

Problem is that I think to replace the trim you need to take the whole window out! I havent seen it yet, so Im not sure how bad it is. I was thinking I might just use black electric tape to cover it up, Ill just use the tape across the whole trim? Shouldnt even notice it.

okay, i'm just going to pretend i didn't see ELECTRICAL Tape to fix something exterior! if they broke it, then they need to buy another window to get you that piece. please, don't start goin' ghetto on me. that is exactly how you get rust bubbles (don't want those!)
